OVERVIEW

It is GESERVE’s policy to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and other established safety standards (ISO, SON, NIS etc. ) to reduce or eliminate the dangers associated with electrical energy. The objective of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS) is to ensure that HSE concerns are managed in a comprehensive and effective manner. Every person on the GESERVE site is exposed to electricity to some extent, so the safety program provides everybody with the DOS and DON’TS of safety and recommended practices necessary to protect against electrical shock or burns and other associated hazards. For our safety milestone, we are celebrating 2 years with no Lost Time Accidents (LTA) – a work-related injury or illness resulting in time off from work, we ceaselessly strive to improve occupational safety, health and environmental operation at all of our locations.

STATEMENT OF INTENT

HSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

HSE Training

GERSERVE shall provide HSE Trainings to all employees working under GERSERVE as per their specific jobs.

 

Responsibilities

 

• The Managing Director is responsible for health and safety matters in the Company. Where difficulties arise in the maintenance of safe working conditions, or practices, reference must be made to the Managing Director who then has the responsibility for ensuring that sufficient authority is given to enable safe conditions and practices to be maintained.

 

• It is the responsibility of all our employees to uses tools, equipments, hazardous substances and safety equipments in accordance with the training and instructions given.

 

• Employees must report/inform the HSE supervisor of any dangerous situations or shortcomings in the Company’s health and safety arrangements so that necessary remedial action(s) may be taken.

 

• The day-to-day responsibility for ensuring these policies are put into practice is delegated to the HSE supervisor.

 

• All employees have to:

 

1. co-operate with supervisors and managers on health and safety matters;
2. not interfere with anything provided to safeguard their health and safety;
3. take reasonable care of their own health and safety; and
4. report all health and safety concerns to an appropriate person (as DETAILED in the policy statement; Golden Rules).

 

• Management will always consider suggestions or comments on ways in which our health and safety performance can be improved. Any of such suggestions should be made to the Managing Director. Employees are encouraged to raise matters of concern that they consider may affect their health, safety or welfare whilst at work.
